Equality & Diversity

Introduction
In today's hectic, multi-cultural and very diverse business world, organisations are faced with increasing awareness of the need to operate within a range of constantly changing legislation and social drivers. One example of this is the need to maintain and operate a positive approach to developing and applying key principles of equal opportunities and diversity. With this in mind, this workshop programme outlines the implications of these principles within organisations and the benefits from encouraging staff to apply the principles as a way of life.

Format
Training will be held in a relaxed, friendly environment, which is conducive to the learning process. To get most from the process, delegates will be actively encouraged to participate in course learning activities with an enthusiastic attitude. Delegates will need to log the main learning points as the course progresses. This will ensure that not only workshop objectives are being met, but help delegates develop appropriate workplace action plans.
The whole period will be highly participative with formal trainer input being complemented by exercises, discussions and regular feedback sessions.

Aim
This workshop aims to allow delegates to understand and apply key principles of equal opportunities in the workplace.

Objectives
By the end of the workshop programme delegates will return to the workplace better able to:

• Understand the importance and need for equal opportunities in the workplace
• Understand the key aspects of equal opportunities with regards to race, religion, bullying, harassment etc.
